Same structure here. Make sure your subs have their own comp coverage. Had an audit once and they tried to reclassify subs as employees because we did not have their certs on file.
3/8 inch at that length should be fine. I run 75 feet of 1/2 inch to reduce pressure drop and heat loss over longer runs. The whip length is good at 15-20 feet.
Running an E-30 and have been very happy with it for 3 years. Had one issue with a heater element but Graco support was solid. Make sure you are running the recommended hose sizes.
Practice on cardboard first. The learning curve is real. Your first few passes will likely be uneven. Do multiple thin passes rather than one thick one.
